4-Round Swiss Tournament 

Time Control: G/45  d/5; Each player receives 45 minutes with a 5-second delay. A Tornado is a one-day tournament where you play four games. Cash Prizes and Awards are given at the end of the tournament based on your final score.

Open Section – Includes the  Master Bounty Prize; Any player can “play up” into the Open Section

**NEW**  Under 1601 Section – We changed this section, it used to be Under 1501

Under 1001 Section – Great for lower-rated players and beginners

• Master Bounty Prize: Win your game against the #1 Master in the tournament and win $100. If you draw the Master, win $50.  If the Master wins all the games, then he/she wins the $100. 
• Award Winning Chili.  Good Food; Hot Meals
• Chess Merch available to purchase
• USCF Rated Tournament. Join/Renew USCF on-site. Purchase a New Membership at Registration.
• 1/2 Point Bye is available; if notified before Round 2.
• Prizes Fund based on 70 players.
• We provide all the Chess Clocks & Chess Sets

Open Section:  Includes the Master Bounty Prize. A true Open Section, anyone can play in the Open Section regardless of rating.                         
1st – $200      2nd – $150              
Top Under 2001   – $100              
Top Under 1801   – $100

Master Bounty Prize – $100
