- The first date is Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Starts at 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
- The kids win prizes, socialize, have fun & play chess. 40+ kids each Wednesday.
- Our Summer Kids' Chess Club offers a unique experience similar to a chess summer camp, but with the added benefit of parents' participation.
- Or... Parents can choose to hang out in the Parent's Corner and get some work done or relax while the kids play.
- Also... Parents can drop off their kids at 1:00 PM and pick them back up again at 3:00 PM.

- Great Way to Receive Expert-Level Chess Lessons We serve pizza every Wednesday. $3.50 per slice.
Chess Earth’s After-School Programs:
Our camp is open to all kids and parents from around the city.
Many of the kids who will be attending will be coming from the schools listed below:
Hyde Park • St. Mary • Mariemont • Terrace Park • Madeira • Blue Ash
Parents have the options:
- Parents can Play & Participate for FREE (Nice Adult Prizes!!)
- Parents can Relax or get work done in the Parents’ Corner (Wi-Fi included and quite work space included)
- Drop off your kids at 1:00 PM, pick them back up at 3:00 PM
Activities & Stations
We set up various stations every Wednesday for kids to participate, play and win prizes. Parents and Adults win really nice adult prizes. Choose what you love and have fun.
- Coach Simul: Play the coach with 6-10+ other player. Beat the Coach, wins a prize.
- Oversized Chess Board: Life-size chess play! Great way to win a prize!!
- Puzzle Station: Solve chess problems and win a prize!!
- Speed Chess Area: Play with chess clocks. Blitz mode! Win prizes playing blitz!!
- Team Chess: Hand & Brain or Tandem play. Two vs. Two. One team will win a prize
- Open Play Area: Chill and play chess. Learn chess.
- Learn Notation: So you can read chess books
- Snacks & Drinks: PIZZA!! Available for purchase by the slice. $3.50 per slice.
- Chess Gear: Chess equipment anc chess merchandise. Our Chess Shop is available
We invite members of the Cincinnati Chess Community to play chess with the kids and parents. This is a community event every Wednesday, for the summer.
Chess Coaches: We have 3–4 experienced coaches each Wednesday.
The Kid’s Chess Club
In 2013, Robert took over a thriving chess program at the Symmes Library and introduced the Kids’ Chess Club brand there before he moved to California. When Robert returned from California, he launched the Kids’ Chess Club at the Wyoming Library. At the Wyoming Library, we saw great attendance, with 30 to 50 participants on Monday nights. He ran this club for several years. The Kid’s Chess Club is a community event designed for parents and their children, and it actively involves the family, moms, dads, and grandparents.

Wednesdays – 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. June, July, and August
- $200 – Entire Summer Rate – Season Pass. Best Value
- $60 – Flexible Attendance (any 3 Wednesday sessions)
- $25 – Drop-In Rate per session, pay as you go (pay online or at the site)
- Pizza for sale every Wednesday. Cheese & Pepperoni – $3.50 a slice.
- Parents can play and participate for FREE or hangout in the Parent’s Corner.
- Drop-off is at 1:00 PM and pick-up is at 3:00 PM
