North Avondale Montessori After-School Chess Program Details
- Starts on April 16 and Ends on May 21. 6 – Week Program.
- Tuesdays. 3:20pm – 4:30pm. Held in the Library; Tech Room
- Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Grades
- All Chess Equipment Is Provided – We provide chess sets, chess clocks, handouts, etc.
- The cost is $80.
- The students have fun and it’s a social time. They learn to focus and think. They learn pretty fast (group learning), especially for beginners who are new to the game. We practice the principles and fundamentals of having a good chess game; which will stay with them for life. We learn about the chess world and do fun chess activities and matches, etc.
- We offer a connection to the Cincinnati chess community for the whole family to continue the chess journey.
Who is Coach Robert?
- Robert Chenault is the chess instructor and runs chess programs at other schools in Cincinnati.
- Runs the popular Kid’s Chess Club; Every Monday 5:30pm at the Wyoming Library. 40-50 people show up every week. Parents & kids play along with the Cincy chess community.
- Nationally ranked Expert chess player and Community Organizer.
