Hyde Park Chess Registration

Winter Session Starts Jan. 15 and Ends on Feb. 26, 2025. Seven Week Program.
Directly after school, Coach Robert picks up the students from the gym. After the chess program is over, we will wait by Door #1 for the parents to come pick up their students.
Held on Wednesdays. 2:15pm – 3:15pm. 7-Week Program.
Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Grades
All Chess Equipment Is Provided – We provide chess sets, chess clocks, handouts, etc.
The cost is $135.
The students have fun and it’s a social time. They learn to focus and they learn pretty fast (group learning), especially for beginners who are new to the game. We practice the principles and fundamentals of having a good chess game; which will stay with them for life. We learn about the chess world and do fun chess activities and matches, etc.
We offer a connection to the Cincinnati chess community for the whole family to continue the chess journey.

Robert Chenault is the chess instructor and teaches chess in several Cincinnati Schools and gives private chess lessons.
He ran the popular Kid’s Chess Club (40-50 people participated every week) at the Wyoming Library for several years.
Robert is a nationally ranked Expert chess player and a Community Organizer.
He organizes monthly chess tournaments called Saturday Tornado and Sunday Chess G/60. All are welcome to hang out and play chess at his tournaments and meet the local chess community.
